One of the oldest public institutions in the state of Maryland, steeped in rich tradition, is the office of the Clerk of Court. Each jurisdiction elects its local official to carry out the responsibilities of this position collaboratively with and necessary to the Maryland branch of judicial government. Since 1658, the Office of the Clerk of Court has provided the citizens of Maryland with essential services regulated by the laws of the State and the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
In the following pages, our intent is that you find sufficient information to guide you through the various processes, forms, and resources associated with the Civil, Criminal, and Juvenile justice actions brought before our Courts.
